With endless views of Mount Olympus and the Aegean, the traditional settlement of Paleo Panteleimona evokes memories

Passing the Venetian castle of Platamonas, leaving the highway at the exit for Neos Panteleimon, following the signs
for the old settlement, we reach Paleos Panteleimon. Kefalochori of the area at the beginning of the 20th century,
with two schools, Magistrate’s Court and gendarmerie, today retains something of the glamor of the past.
Around the 60’s, the old village was deserted, as the residents sought work in the coastal areas of the prefecture,
founding Neos Panteleimonas next to Platamonas and only 5 km from Paleos.
The impressive thing about the fairytale Paleo Panteleimon is that only a few years ago, around 2001, the current arrived there! After a demand of the residents of the area to the municipal authorities and only under the condition that the traditional appearance of the village remains unchanged, the underground electricity supply took place! Thus, Paleos Panteleimonas came to life again and gained intense tourist interest.
